What a beautiful week to make art in the park…Central Park! We made like an Impressionist and went en plein air for our 6-9’s Art Adventures.
Our challenge: to paint a landscape outside using a combination of 3 materials- pencil, craypas AND watercolor.
We practiced some tree drawing techniques: the Y technique- drawing branches in the shape of Y’s!We learned different techniques in watercolor & wax resist with craypas
and background, mid-ground and foreground to capture a more realistic landscape
