Welcome to July and Summertime! Happy 4th! As we all prepare for our BBQ’s, beach time & NYC roof top fun, we are also SO EXCITED about all the Art fun we’re planning for our Fall Season.
Want an outdoors art project the whole family can enjoy? Try our Matisse Cutout inspired bubble paintings! A popular project during our summer camps AND our Fall after-school program starting in September! Click HERE for more info on FALL REGISTRATION!
All you need:
different color construction paper
watercolor paper
scissors + gluestick + straws
small plastic containers (to mix your food coloring & bubble solution together!)
food coloring
and of course BUBBLES!
1- Mix your favorite color in your bubble solution. Make as many different colors as you like!
2-Using a straw for each color, dip your straw in your “bubble” paint and VERY gently blow through the straw from the other end onto your watercolor paper. (It will take a couple of tries!)
3-Mix and match “bubble paint” colors!
4- Choose your favorite colors from construction paper and cut out organic shapes!
5-After your “bubble paint” drys, arrange & glue your organic shape “cutouts” onto your “bubble painting”
