What to do with all that leftover candy? Make Art!

Happy Halloween! As all parents know, your child doesn’t need the countless amount candy they received trick-or-treating this year. Avoid the crazy sugar highs by joining us in creating beautiful Candy Window Mosaics, inspired by Pumpkins and Gustav Klimt!

For this project, we studied the work of painting master Gustav Klimt. From Austria, Klimt created intricate paintings filled with patterns and gold leaf. He often painted figures surrounded by swirls of gold and pretty patterns, making them look magical. Instead of paint, we used CANDY to create repeating patterns around and within our subject. Let’s explore this unique medium to the fullest and see what we can create!

Ate all your candy? No worries! Your kids can use a more traditional approach by using glass paints and real Gold Leaf foil to create their window mosaics.
