Zoe Morsette

Broadway Props Stylist

A native Cape Codder, Zoe Morsette has a degree in Theatre & Dance from Skidmore College. Upon graduating, she moved to NYC to work with director Michael Lessac at his new Colonnades Theatre Lab. This was followed by almost three years of teaching voice & movement, academics and modern dance on the S. Ute and Standing Rock reservations out west. After returning to NYC, Zoe worked as a milliner at Radio City Music Hall for two years and then as a fabricator and shop supervisor in the display industry for five years.
Freelance since 1984, Ms. Morsette has built props, models, costumes, puppets, masks and sculptures for fifty-three Broadway shows (HAMILTON, THE CHER SHOW and MRS. DOUBTFIRE being the most recent), dozens of commercials and print ads, feature films, 30 ROCK, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, JIMMY FALLON, THE GET DOWN, theme parks, ice shows, ballets, operas and the Macy’s Parade. Her work has been exhibited at Lincoln Center, Kean University, Dyansen Gallery, Skidmore’s Tang Museum and Art-O-Mat, the Dougherty Gallery, and Departure Studios in LIC. Three of Zoe’s sculptures have been featured in ads that won two Gold awards and one International Best of Show in the Dimensional Illustrators Awards Show. One of these is her best known commercial sculpture, the iconic “homeless Statue of Liberty”, featured since 1991 on the NY Cares Coat Drive poster. Zoe was also the 1997 Miller Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and has been a guest theatrical teaching artist at several other colleges, universities and theatre conventions.
