Music Adventures

(45 minutes)

An age-specific developmental program that offers stimulating musical strategies for cognitive, motor, social and language development. Children have opportunities to discover, discriminate and describe experiences while exercising responsibility, communication and listening skills.

Curriculum is responsive to the developmental needs of each age group, carefully tailored and ever changing to suit the children's interests. Instead of pushing children through activities, they are given ample opportunity to be active collaborators in the design of their class. With instruments, props, song, movement, sound exploration, delay and response games, mirroring and finger-plays, children identify and reinforce speech, colors, shapes, numbers, rhythm dynamics and motor skills in a fun and nurturing environment. Although each class is structured to specific goals for each group, spontaneity and group dynamics help to create a truly child-directed class.

Also included are uniquely-designed texture murals promoting dialogue, opportunities for sharing and the building of ideas through images.

French and Spanish are also introduced through songs and counting.

Through all of our activities, our goal is to promote confidence through learning and the freedom of self-expression while applauding and encouraging each stage of development!

Class size is 6-12 children.

Music and Art Combination Classes

(1 hour and 25 minutes)

Class size is 10 children. Two teachers attend each class.

Mini-Art Adventures with parent

(45 minutes)

Using a wide range of art materials, song and exploration, children identify and reinforce speech, colors, shapes, numbers, and motor skills in a fun and spontaneous environment! Through all of our activities, our goal is to promote confidence through learning as well as the freedom of self-expression while applauding and encouraging each stage of development

Class size is limited to 6 children and 6 Adults.
